Pastor Jessilou is a native of Hilton, having grown up right down the road from the Parma Greece United Church of Christ and was brought to this church as a child with her family. She's a graduate of the Hilton Central School District, attended Eisenhower College (now part of R.I.T.), SUNY Brockport, and in 2019, she graduated from the Colgate Rochester Crozier Divinity School's Christian Leadership program.  She obtained Lay Ministry Standing from the UCC's NYS Committee on Ministry in 2024 and has been licensed to serve as PGUCC's long- term supply Pastor.

The UCC is a perfect fit for Pastor Jessilou, not only because of her life-long relationship with this church but also because she is a firm believer in its motto: Jesus' words, 'That they may all be one,' and the inclusivity and diversity that this represents. Her approach to ministry is to connect with people where they are, to help them recognize their gifts and their role in the world. She tries to bring the scripture to life, respecting each individual's interpretation and how it applies to them personally. She's committed to encouraging people to think of others and is an advocate of living and preaching the Golden Rule.

Her outside activities include baking, gardening, and creative writing. Pastor Jessilou is happily married to her soulmate Larry who is also an active member of the PGUCC. Together they proudly share in the lives of their four grown children (Joanne, Raeanne, Jevon and Louis) and six awesome grandchildren (Caleb, Landen, Corbin, Elora, Lionel and Julian.)
